How I do I get the transfer code for a domain registered here?

To transfer your domain to another registrar, you will need a transfer code, also known as an EPP code, auth info code, or transfer secret.

  1. Go to your "Client Area", click in "My Domains" tab and, click the "Manage" button for that domain. This will take you to the "Registration Details" page.
  2. Under "Management Tools" Section, click on "Get EPP Code".

In order for a domain to be successfully transferred to another registrar, it must be unlocked during the whole process and it must not have been registered, renewed, or transferred in the preceding 60 days. Only the member who registered the domain can request the transfer code.

As with canceling service, we will not ask why you are transferring the domain, hassle you, or attempt to stop you (unless one of the above limitations applies). But it does make us sad to see domains transferred away, so if there's something you're unhappy with that we might be able to do something about, please let us know before requesting the codes.
